Our journey together started several years ago; brought together by tragic circumstances in our family

we found a common interest in researching our family history. From then our archive has grown in size

allowing us to launch this website that will hopefully benefit the community for generations to come.

We are a video-making club located in Outwood, near Wakefield, West Yorkshire in England. The club was formed in 2001 to encourage people of all ages to take an interest in film making. We intend to film events around our local communities in Outwood, Stanley, Alverthorpe, Wrenthorpe, Kirkhamgate and Lofthouse.

Located in the western approaches to 'Scapa Flow' the small island measuring just over 1,000 acres is home to 21 folk. There are two lighthouses and many abandoned crofts, also many sites of interest from a distant past. Take a wander on the shore at the point of Oxon where the 'Albion' was wrecked, many bits of pottery from her cargo are still to be found.
Take the 'MV Graemsay' from Stromness or Hoy to reach the island

Employment: P/T postman (13 houses including own) - Computer servicing -
shepherd - was a radiotelephone engineer but dodge that work unless
unavoidable.

Interests - Genealogy (free lookups for Methley folk) - sea angling -
dodging work I don't fancy doing - Intend to restart doing the island
website and add a webcam, been too busy the last 2 years due to new
